Why the “big lie” succeeds with most of the population

By Mike Schroeder

Of course, I’m talking about the ongoing COVID-19 scam, which was declared a “pandemic” by then-President Trump in 2020, and the vaccine agenda that has accompanied it, which the initial injections we were told would be all that was necessary to “safely and effectively” mitigate the virus and end the pandemic.

Going on three years later, none of these claims has turned out to be true. The country continues in the pandemic mode, as the initial injections (two) have not curbed the spread of the virus, even though over two-thirds of the population submitted to them, and now, as “new” variants of the virus emerge, we are told that all the injected must subject themselves to a never-ending, series of semi-annual “booster” injections to maintain immunity from the viruses.

Moreover, in addition to the jabs failing to prevent the spread and contraction of the virus, there have been unprecedented adverse side effects from them, not the least of which have been the death of thousands of relatively healthy adolescents and adults from heart failures, raising all kinds of red-flags in discerning minds about the so-called “safe and effective” claims of the government, the medical establishment, and the media.

The question many of us have concerning all this is why do otherwise intelligent, thoughtful people fall in line with what has been proven to be an obvious lie/fraud, which has the potential of enormous destruction to human life, health, and prosperity, indeed, that is already producing these results?

While I’m certain one could come up with many reasons for this anomaly, I believe it can be attributed to four basic things: greed, fear, ignorance, and pride, with pride being the dominant reason of these four.

1. Greed. This would be the reason behind the perpetrators of the lie/fraud, who are fully aware of what they are doing, and fully aware of its destructive potential to humanity, but because their lust for money and power overrides any tinge of conscience that might cause them to re-think what they are doing, this has no influence at all in their decisions/actions.

These types are the consummate, “if-it-produces-the-desired-results -it-must-be-right,” pragmatists. Three passages of Scripture come to mind with this category: “For the love of money is the root of all evil…. speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron…. even their mind and conscience is defiled…. there is no fear of God before their eyes” (1 Tim. 6:10; 4:2; Titus 1:15; Rom. 3:18)

This type of individual has been characterized by some behavioral scientists as a “psychopath.” Psychopaths are similar to sociopaths, but differ in that, unlike sociopaths, they blend in well with society and are, more often than not, personable, highly intelligent, talented, and usually very successful at whatever endeavor in which they choose to engage. This is the reason the average person finds it very difficult to see them as evildoers.

2. Fear. This would include anyone who goes along with the lie/fraud out of fear of material/personal loss. This category of individual would be the “go-along-to-get-along” type, who is fully cognizant of the lie/fraud but falls in line with it out of fear of losing their jobs or status in the community or organization in which they are a part. It would also include ordinary folks who aren’t at risk of this kind of loss but just plain don’t want to be viewed by others as defiant or a rebel against the status quo.

These scriptures come to mind with this group. “The fear of man bringeth a snare; but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe…..For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (Prov. 9:25; 1Tim 1:7)

3. Ignorance. This overlaps somewhat with #2 and #4. It could be the result of a very low intelligence quotient, which is excusable, but more often than not, it is the result of someone willfully putting on the blinders to the obvious truth all around them. It’s the proverbial “hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil” syndrome.

Some attribute it to what shrinks call cognizant dissonance, which is a term for the state of discomfort felt when two or more modes of thought contradict each other, which may include ideas, beliefs, or the knowledge that one has theretofore believed. In other words, “It hurts my brain to hear or think about anything that opposes what I’ve always believed to be true, therefore, I will reject it without further inquiry.” Scriptures pertaining to this condition that come to mind are: “How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant..loving to slumber…But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.” ( Prov. 1;22; Is. 56:10; 1 Cor 14:38)

4. Pride. (ego) IMO, this is the main reason why reasonable people continue believing or doing something in the face of a mountain of evidence that proves it to be fraudulent. The Bible refers to it as “the pride of life” (1 John 2:16), and because of this, the longer someone goes along with the lie/fraud the more difficult it becomes to change their mind about it. Leo Tolstoy eloquently describes this condition in the following quote:

“Most men can seldom accept even the simplest and most obvious truth if it would oblige them to admit the falsity of conclusions which they have delighted in explaining to colleagues, have proudly taught to others, and have woven thread by thread into the fabric of their lives.”

Scripture concerning human pride that comes to mind: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall…..For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.”

(Prov 16:18; Mark 7:21,22)

To all who have not succumbed to numbers 2,3, and 4, it has become pretty obvious, from a mountain of evidence, that this so-called “pandemic/vaccine” initiative is part of a nefarious agenda to eliminate a majority of the world’s population and bring under total control those that remain.

I believe, as do some of you, that the perps of this should be brought to justice, i.e. they should be indicted and brought to trial for this crime against humanity they have knowingly perpetrated. As much we desire this, I believe it is a fool’s errand to think that our “bought and paid for by the factions immensely profiting from this government officials” will do this.

But doesn’t leave us without recourse because they cannot succeed in achieving their end goal without our cooperation, thus, there is a way to circumvent this agenda and that is for a lot more of us to reject the narrative and stop complying with it— WHILE WE STILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO.

I don’t think we have much more time to do this, so if you aren’t on board with the resistance movement, I implore you to get on board now—if not for yourself, for posterity’s sake.

Are you saved? Jesus Christ—“who knew no sin”—and his sacrificial death on the Cross, has made the way for “everyone that believeth…to be reconciled to God. History has shown that whatever peace man has achieved in the world can only be temporary. The Bible says that individual men and women can know, beyond a doubt, that they are saved and bound for heaven, and therefore have absolute and permanent peace, regardless of what is going on in the world, by trusting Jesus Christ and his death on the cross for their eternal salvation. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” Have you done this? If not, why not now?

Our Mission

Amazing Grace Bible Study Fellowship (AGBSF) is a local non-denominational church fellowship dedicated to the publishing of the Gospel of Christ (Romans 1:16), and the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery of Romans 16:25 and Ephesians 3:3. Our goal is to study the Bible in accordance with 2 Timothy 2:15, in order to become established in the truth of it according to Romans 1:11; to the end that we might come into conformity with the will of God for our lives according to Romans 12:3.
